- The modern recreation of the 1968 Diver has been designed under the theme of 'The Great Wave' - a reference to the iconic woodblock print by artist Hokusai, during the Edo period.
- Prospex is a combination of the words 'Professional' and 'Specifications.' Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
- Crafted from stainless steel with a super-hard coating, this timepiece features a special dial pattern, inspired by the wave symbol on its case back. This symbol, seen on all Seiko diving watches since the 1960s, was designed to symbolise high-grade water resistance.
- The mechanism used is an in-house-built 6R54 automatic with manual winding movement. This calibre movement is complete with 24 Jewels and a 72-hour power reserve.
- The uni-directional rotating bezel: The precise and safe operation of the uni-directional bezel prevents accidental rotation. This is to prevent the watch from displaying the elapsed time shorter than it actually is.
- The diving scale on the bezel is crafted from lightweight, scratch-resistant ceramic and its GMT feature tracks multiple time zones simultaneously.
- Premium sapphire crystal glass provides better protection from scratches in your daily life.
- The easy to read dial features lumibrite on hands, indexes and bezel.
