- This watch is the second limited edition collaboration between Seiko 5 Sports and HUF, the popular skateboarding and streetwear fashion and lifestyle brand.
- HUF was founded in San Francisco by Keith Hufnagel, an ex-skateboarder from New York City, with a view to represent the international skate scene through a wide, but inclusive variety of cultures, ideas, designs, competitions and collaborations.
- The overall look is a combination of newness and heritage – with the dial and the hands being new designs, common to this Retro Colour collection.
- The design of this watch is based on the famous Seiko Regatta Timer from 1969 and the dial’s silver-blue colour was a popular 1960s tone. The HUF logo features in green on the dial, as well as the case back and the crown. This limited edition piece comes in a special stainless steel box, with a HUF sticker.
- This particular timepiece is inspired by the 6119-6050 – the original ‘Regatta Timer’ released in the late 60s.
- Seiko 5 Sports watches are known for over fifty years of reliability, durability, performance, and value. ‘’5’’ represents the original five key features of every Seiko 5 still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet.
- The mechanism used is an in-house-built 4R36 automatic movement with manual winding capacity. This calibre movement is complete with 24 Jewels and a 41-hour power reserve.
